The Firm is the inheritor of an impressive experience which includes extensive work on mergers and acquisitions, an equal count for joint ventures, divestitures, spin-offs, tax and corporate reorganizations in Brazil and Latin America.
The organization presents a long standing experience in financing, both domestic and international, including one the largest loan to one single company in Brazil, project financing and one of the first and largest operations of Security Export Notes Issuance, not to mention the extensive banking experience of individual members of the Firm.
Also and worthwhile mentioning, extensive work with insurance contracts and claims, and long standing expertise related to energy, telecommunications, environmental law, export, import, foreign exchange, product liability and technology related matters. In the last years the organization has obtained successful results in anti-trust cases, administrative law and in publics bids in the energy and telecommunications sectors.
The Firm counts with five geographical basis ( Berrini/São Paulo; ABC/São Paulo; Campinas, Feira de Santana and Rio de Janeiro) one of them (ABC/São Paulo) hosting the Patents and Trademark Division, and representatives in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia and Hamburg (Germany).
The Firm shows a respectable record in litigation, mainly labor, tax and corporate matters, with active participation in international arbitration. Tax litigation and counseling are, in fact, the original practice area of the senior partners of the firm.
