Andreas Bagias Law Office is a specialist legal practice covering both litigation and non-contentious work in a solid and diligent way. Dr. Andreas Bagias studied law at the Law School of the University of Athens and received his LL.M. and Ph.D. degrees from the Faculty of Law of the University of Cambridge. He has held scholarships from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and from the British Council. Dr Bagias is a member of the Piraeus Bar and has qualified as an English Solicitor after successfully sitting the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test. He is also a founding member of the Hellenic Society of Maritime Lawyers. He has extensive knowledge and experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements and has worked for Greek and international law firms in London and in Greece. He specialises in maritime law, finance and security rights, corporate and commercial law and international trade. He has also handled a number of insurance and international transport cases, and has acted as an international legal expert for the European Commission with respect to the re-organisation and supervision of the Russian insurance market. He currently focuses on M&A and corporate work, joint ventures and shareholder disputes and shipping finance. He is fluent in Greek and English and has a working knowledge of French.
