Arthur Busch we the Genesee County, Michigan (Flint) Prosecuting Attorney for 12 years. In that position he was responsible for prosecuting over 40,000 felony matters. He supervised a staff of 85 employees including 41 assitant prosecuting attorneys. During his tenure as prosecutor he handled many high profile cases receiving national attention for his innovative approaches to difficult cases.
Mr. Busch has is a 1982 graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan. He also holds a Masters Degree in Labor Relations from Michigan State University. He also received a B.A. with honors from Michigan State University. He has served for over 30 years as an adjunct professor at several instituions of higher learning including Michigan State University, C.S. Mott Community College, Thomas M. Cooley Law School and the University of Michigan-Flint. He has given lectures and presentations on Criminal Law, Ethics, Law Office Management and Managing Grants to law enforcement groups, legal organizations including the Kentucky Bar Association, the National District Attorneys Association and many other Michigan groups. His work in prosecuting gangs, computer crime, and handing violent juvenile offenders have earned him praise and awards from various organizations including the Washington Post, Humane Society, Concerned Pastors for Social Action, etc.
