Basden & Ivie, PC is a business law and litigation firm with offices in Texas and the United Kingdom. Started in 2009 by two experienced business attorneys, the firm was founded on the principle that legal representation should be cost-effective and collaborative. We believe that our mission is to help the client get back to business as soon as possible, and as whole as possible.B&I takes a unique approach to staffing your legal issue. B&I’s focus is much like yours: you assemble a team to provide your customers and clients the best possible service. We do the same we meet with a client and evaluate the issues most important to the client, then assemble a team that will provide the client with the best possible legal services. We still provide the litigation and transactional expertise that the traditional law firm model was built upon, but our team approach allows us to do it more creatively, efficiently, and effectively.
B&I endeavors to provide legal services that are cost-effective and time-sensitive. Business solutions often frustrate attorneys who want to win at all cost. Business owners know that if you win a client, but lose money, you’ve lost ground. The principle applies to legal strategy as well: if we win the case “at all costs,” our clients lose. B&I devises legal strategy that will resolve the matter successfully, but will not tax the financial stability of our clients.
B&I specializes in all areas of business, including business formation and outside general counsel representation, complex commercial collections and litigation, creditor bankruptcy representation, financial institution and lender representation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, corporate governance, and real estate. We also represent non-profit organizations as outside general counsel.
Our clients include individuals and companies both in our local community and across the United States, as well as the rest of the world. With a satellite office in the EU, B&I represents some international clients in the business interests in the United States; we call it "distanced client representation." B&I also acts as local counsel for international clients needing to protect their interests in Texas.
