Law Firm Overview Free Consultation

At Binder & Binder®, we do not let the government intimidate our clients. We are always active, aggressive social security advocates for people who can no longer work. It is a tough job, but we have been doing it for a long time. We are good at it and we are proud of the fact that we win such a high percentage of our cases.

As a nationwide advocacy group, we know firsthand that America is a big place. As our population ages, more and more Americans are becoming disabled. Instead of a few clients, or a few dozen, or a few hundred, or a few thousand clients, we are now helping tens of thousands of new clients every year.

To serve a growing number of people, we've made some big changes at Binder & Binder® — changes like updating technologies, including video conferencing to make governmental hearings more convenient for our clients. It's a big change that we've made so we can continue to do the little things that make our clients a bit more comfortable while they go through this tough time. And that's a big part of the Binder family tradition of making things better and nicer for our clients.

Our nationwide presence allows us to bring in an army of highly qualified advocates and top-level executives to handle SSD and SSI cases across the country. Whether you live in Alaska or Hawaii, Texas or New York or anywhere in the United States... it simply doesn't matter. You will be able to use our services to win your Social Security Disability claim.

Practice Areas

Practice Areas Description

- Social Security Disability

When you can't work, because you have become disabled, you are essentially experiencing an enforced retirement. But not the kind of retirement you might have been hoping to enjoy. However, it doesn't need to be a disaster. Social Security Disability (SSD) insurance pays monthly cash benefits to people who have paid enough FICA taxes to qualify, and are now unable to work for a year or more because of a disability. After a waiting period, SSD eligibility also allows you to receive Medicare benefits — even if you are under age 65. We should apply for your SSD benefits as soon as you and your doctors agree that your disability is going to last a full year. If you are thinking about applying for disability benefits, talk with us at Binder & Binder® because we will handle your SSD claim for you from the very beginning, or at any other stage of your case. It's not true, as so many people think, that you must apply first on your own. We can do that for you.

- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly cash benefits to people who are age 65 or older, those who are blind or those who have a disability and who do not own much or have a lot of income. The standard of disability is the same as with Social Security Disability, however, to qualify for SSI a financial need threshold must also be met. SSI kicks in for the disabled when they do not qualify for SSD or the amount of SSD they will receive puts them below the financial standard. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly SSI Disability benefits may go to disabled and blind children too. Successfully applying for Social Security Disability or SSI Disability can take a great deal of time due to government red tape. But at Binder & Binder®, our clients don't have to worry about dealing with the government. We do it for them. As a large national company, we have the resources to protect your interests against the huge government bureaucracy. Nobody intimidates our clients. Not even the government.

- Social Security Disability Claims

The attorneys at Binder & Binder help individuals with their SSD claims who have disabilities related to: cardiac / vascular disorders; mental health (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)), bipolar disorders; major depressive disorders; orthopedic injuries, leg, knee and ankle disorders and injuries, hip injuries, arm injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, back injuries and diseases; neurological disorders; sleep disorders; fibromyalgia; headaches; blood disorders; diabetes mellitus; auto-immune diseases / AIDS and HIV; cancer; stomach, intestine and liver disorders; and pulmonary disorders / lung diseases.

- Workplace Accidents and Injuries

Depending on the kind of work you do and your employer, workplace accidents often become workers' compensation matters. This makes a big difference when you have been hurt at work. Resolving your work injury involves knowing workers' compensation law, as well as knowing the law on personal injury and other governmental benefits that might be available. At Binder & Binder®, we are up to the challenge. If you have been hurt on the job, the best way to find out your options is to call Binder & Binder® about your job site injury. At Binder & Binder®, we can help you decide what actions are right for you after an on-the-job injury.

- Construction Site and Scaffolding Accidents

We've always appreciated how men and women who work on construction sites do some of the most challenging and difficult jobs around. Every day, they operate heavy machinery, walk around on high scaffolding and lift heavy objects — sometimes all at once. So, when you've been injured on a construction site, you can always turn to us for help. Our well-trained and experienced staff can answer your questions about your options, helping you create a solid plan to move forward.

- Motor Vehicle Accidents

Our advocates help the victims of motor vehicle accidents move forward with their lives when they can no longer work. If you have been injured in a car accident, truck accident, motorcycle accident, bicycle accident or pedestrian accident and cannot work, talk with us about your options. We represent people who have sustained many different injuries in car accidents or truck accidents, including the ones listed below: leg, knee and ankle injuries, hip injuries, arm injuries, back injuries, head injuries / brain injuries / brain damage and neck injuries. If you or someone you know has sustained these types of injuries in a motor vehicle accident, a personal injury lawsuit may be an option. But if your doctor says you cannot work, you may need to think of Social Security Disability benefits as well.

- Accidents / Social Security Disability

No matter what type of accident you have been involved in, if you can no longer work and may be considered disabled under the SSA's criteria, you may be able to file a Social Security Disability claim. We can assist clients injured in any of the following types of accidents: swimming pool accidents, construction site accidents, accidents caused by dangerous and defective products, accidents caused by dangerous road conditions or drunk drivers, RV and ATV accidents and attacks in parking lots, hotels, malls and other places. this is especially true because these serious accidents can lead to many different types of injuries — injuries like leg, knee and ankle injuries, hip injuries, arm injuries, head injuries and back injuries. You should apply for Social Security Disability benefits as soon as you and your doctors agree that these injuries are going to keep you from working for at least a full year.
