Founded by attorneys Alejandro Caffarelli and Marc Siegel, Caffarelli & Siegel Ltd. is a Chicago law firm that provides legal representation in the areas of labor and employment law, related commercial litigation, and employment-related immigration matters. It is our mission to be the premier law firm representing individuals in employment law matters, from negotiating severances for the highest-level executives at the most sophisticated companies to taking cases to trial on behalf of hourly-wage workers. To achieve our mission, we will represent and advocate our clients interests vigorously and aggressively, while maintaining the highest standards of legal ethics and professionalism. The firms founding shareholders have a unique background, having worked at large law firms representing management exclusively, prior to the creation of Caffarelli & Siegel Ltd. The firm continues to represent business clients as well as individuals, which range from large, multinational corporations to small family owned businesses. In 2008, the firm was ed as one of the few firms to be named Special Assistants Corporation Counsel to the City of Chicago, representing the City in labor and employment matters. The firm emphasizes personal service, whether you are a business owner, an individual client, or a public sector client. We are lawyers lawyers, and take pride in representing a significant number of law firms in employment matters, as well as individual attorneys.
We take pride in the quality of our work: the firm has achieved favorable results on behalf of our clients against the largest law firms in the United States. Our approach is tailored to each of the four stages of an employment dispute: consultation, negotiation, litigation, and appeals. During the initial consultation, the client meets with one of our attorneys to discuss the nature of his or her potential claim, and how we can help. Negotiations include drafting and reviewing employment contracts, non-competes, and severance agreements, in addition to mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. The last steps include representation at administrative agencies such as the DOL and EEOC, in addition to litigation and trials in state and federal courts.
