He received his Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law in 1997 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Law and Government in 1994 from Eastern Michigan University. The bulk of Attorney David Chasnicks practice is Family and Bankruptcy law, however David also practices in other areas. David spent his early career as a complex commercial litigation attorney where he fought over multi-million dollar cases. Growing frustrated with faceless corporate clients, he and partner Alan Graff founded the firm of Chasnick and Graff with the intent of helping clients with everyday problems.
Practicing both criminal defense and family law in the Metro Detroit area, attorney Alan Graff has helped numerous clients understand the legal system and reach favorable outcomes. Alan takes great satisfaction in helping people when they are at a crossroads in their life, which is why criminal defense and family law issues are so well-suited to his personality and abilities.
Alan earned his Law Degree from the Thomas Cooley Law School. Throughout law school he was a court clerk for the Honorable Rudy J. Nichols at the Sixth Circuit Court in Oakland County, Michigan. Alan credits the clerking experience for making him a better trial attorney. As a clerk he had the opportunity to observe hundreds of trials firsthand. In addition, the clerking experience helped Alan develop a working relationship with numerous Oakland County Judges and Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys which helps him service his clients.
