Law Firm Overview
We do not play both sides.
We exclusively represent employees and tirelessly advocate the rights of individuals in the workplace.
We are Boston employment attorneys devoted exclusively to the representation of employees. Conforto Law Group, P.C. concentrates in employment law and represents employees in matters involving wrongful termination and discrimination based on age, gender, pregnancy, race, disability, and religion. We stand up for employees who face abusive workplace conditions such as sexual harassment and workplace retaliation. On behalf of executives and senior-level employees, we draft employment contracts, negotiate severance packages, and address non-compete issues.
Pursuing an employment law claim is a significant decision. The process requires planning, patience, and perseverance. We are committed to safeguarding your immediate and long-term career prospects. One approach does not fit all situations. Very often, we find that the best way to address a conflict is to prevent an already adversarial situation from escalating. In other instances, formal legal action and litigation becomes necessary. Maintaining a singular focus in employment law allows us to closely monitor new decisions, the direction of the courts, and effectively represent your interests.
We welcome the opportunity to learn how we may be of assistance to you. To arrange a consultation with an employment law attorney at Conforto Law Group, P.C., please call us at (617) 721-9139 or contact us online.
Your Success is Our Goal. Let us help.

Practice Areas Description
The Conforto Law Group focuses exclusively on employment law. Our practice offerings allow us to respond quickly and effectively to the critical legal issues that our clients face in the employment law context:- Wrongful Termination
We place great emphasis on preparation by gathering facts and obtaining witness statements in the early stages in order to effectively leverage the merits of each claim.
- Age Discrimination
Conforto Law Group assists you if you have been discriminated against at your place of employment and are 40 years of age or older. In many cases, the plaintiff lacks direct evidence of discrimination and must prove discriminatory intent indirectly by inference. The Supreme Court has created a structure for analyzing these types of cases through the use of circumstantial evidence, commonly known as the McDonnell Douglas burden-shifting formula. There are certain actions that can be taken to assert your rights.
- Gender Discrimination
Conforto Law Group represents individuals in Greater Boston and throughout Massachusetts who have been subjected to adverse employment actions and unfair treatment based on gender.
- Race Discrimination
An employer may also violate state and federal law where it excludes minorities from positions or groups employees such that certain jobs are predominately held by individuals of a certain race, color, or national origin.
- Disability and Handicap Discrimination
Examples of handicaps include vision or hearing impairment, a heart condition, or depression. A "qualified" handicapped person must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Whistleblower & Workplace Retaliation
If you have been retaliated against at your place of employment for reporting or speaking out against your employer's unlawful conduct, you may be entitled to a host of legal remedies and compensation. Conforto Law Group provides aggressive advocacy during these often-stressful situations.
- Executive Advocacy
At Conforto Law Group, we are experienced representing professionals and high level executives in time-sensitive and often complex employment matters. We pride ourselves in meticulous preparation and aggressive advocacy, which allows us to obtain the best possible result for our clients. Services in this area include: Negotiating employment agreements, including change of control and non-competition arrangements; Counseling on termination matters and severance issues; Advising on issues related to Sarbanes-Oxley; Enforcing commission agreements and employee stock option plans; and, Litigating claims for damage to one's professional reputation, including defamation and slander.
- Non-Competition Agreements
Conforto Law Group litigates non-compete issues on behalf of employees. Massachusetts courts carefully scrutinize the circumstances surrounding non-compete agreements when determining enforceability. Our experience allows us to quickly isolate the factors that may render a non-compete invalid.
- Wage & Hour Disputes
Conforto Law Group assists individuals with wage and hour issues.
- Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment is unwelcome behavior targeted at an employee because of his or her sex, including: Unwanted advances or unwelcome touching, or inappropriate comments; Requests for sexual favors, or; Verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. Through our experience handling sexual harassment claims, we are sensitive to the emotional toll that such unlawful conduct takes on our clients and their families. Whether it involves obtaining a swift resolution or prevailing at trial, we are also mindful of the different goals that our clients seek in addressing the sexual harassment they have suffered.
