- Customs Recordals and Seizures at the Borders
The recent implementation of the seizures at the borders and the recordals of registered trademark owners at customs has been the most innovative ad effective upgrades to IP rights protection in the Dominica Republic. Now, the owner can record trademarks at customs, where the very inspectors that receive the imported merchandise report on any potential infringement and the IP customs department gives the owner 10 days to decide whether or not there is an infringement and file the relevant action in court.
- Health Registrations
To meet the needs of our clients, we also handle the granting of Health Registrations for their products before the Ministry of Health and Public Assistance. These proceedings, while mostly bureaucratic, demand a very specific expertise since the requirements are extensive and dense.
