- Division of Property and Debts

Determining what is marital or joint property and what is separate property can be complex. It is best to work with an experienced family law attorney to ensure your rights are protected. - Maintenance/Spousal Support

At Franklin Family Law, LLC, our goal is to help clients come to an agreement on spousal support. Attorney Michael Franklin will explain your options and the pros and cons of each. Divorce litigation is an expensive process, and the longer a couple fights over spousal support or any issue, the greater the final cost. - Parenting Time

However, when parents are not able to agree on a parenting time schedule, a family law judge will make the decision. Because the judge does not know the family, his or her decision may not be the best for everyone.

In Colorado, family court determines parenting time and decision-making by what is in the best interests of the child. Typically, parents will share parenting time and decision-making responsibilities. If they are unable to reach an agreement, a judge will decide how to allocate these responsibilities.

Families generally work better when parents create a parenting plan that is unique to their family's needs.
