Hartman Simons & Wood LLP is an Atlanta-based law firm with a reputation as one of the foremost law firms in the country which focuses exclusively on commercial real estate and the areas of the law which touch it. Our founding partners practiced together in a predecessor firm with many of the values, strengths and reach that Hartman Simons has today. In 2002, those lawyers decided to break away from the bigger, general practice law firm concept and focus on what we know, what we do, and what our clients need: commercial real estate. The concept was simple: build a law firm around all of the levels and areas of expertise that clients need and expect when dealing with commercial real estate. Our law firm has a particularly deep team of leasing professionals, at the partner, associate and paralegal level, crossing all disciplines of commercial real estate. We have significant expertise in the following types of leases: Retail; Industrial; Office; and, Mixed use. Over the last 10 years alone, our lawyers have negotiated or supervised the negotiation of in excess of 6,500 commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, involving more than 20 million square feet of retail space, and over 10 million square feet of industrial space.
