- Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

A Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is far and away the most common form of bankruptcy. In a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, a debtor (the person filing) discloses all of their property, debts, and financial activities over the past several years. Around three months later (during which most if not all creditors must stop attempting to collect) the debtor receives a discharge or cancellation of most types of debts and emerge with all or most of the property they owned at the start.

- Foreclosure Defense

The possibility of losing one’s home is a gut-wrenching prospect. The anxiety, fear, and worry accompanying possible foreclosure can wreak havoc on one’s personal and professional life. When facing such an overbearing problem the first instinct for many of us is not to hire an attorney but instead to just walk away. It is estimated that more than 90% of homeowners facing foreclosure forgo hiring an effective attorney and instead just give up. This is exactly what a bank hopes a homeowner will do.
