THE FIRM: Established by Charles Chalom in 1932. Mr. Chalom was the head of the Bar Association of mixed courts at that time. In 1952, Messrs Hassan & Hussein El Ibrachy and Said Dermarkar went into partnership with Mr. Chalom. They created Chalom, Ibrachy & Dermarkar. Mr. Chalom left the country in 1956; as a result of his departure, the name was changed to Ibrachy & Dermarkar (I&D).
