Law Firm Overview

I am Jack Byno, Attorney at Law. Since starting my own practice in 1994, I have been representing clients with both standard and CDL licenses when they have been cited for speeding or other traffic violations. In addition to my experience as a traffic ticket attorney, I spent four years as a municipal court judge, handling these exact types of cases. I understand what it is that judges look for. As a former Municipal Judge, I have first-hand knowledge of the municipal court system.

By contacting me today, you can save yourself from the stress and time commitment of trying to fight your traffic ticket. I will appear for you in court and negotiate on your behalf. I know the local courts and how to fight to have your charges dismissed. If you are willing to go to trial to fight your traffic ticket, I can pursue that course of action as well.

Every city and county in the Dallas - Fort Worth area has its own policies and procedures. I represent clients in all of the surrounding counties. With over a decade of experience I understand the different challenges, advantages, and consequences my clients face in every municipality.

Practice Areas

Practice Areas Description

- Traffic Ticket

I have more than 15 years of experience representing clients in a wide variety of traffic ticket cases involving moving and non-moving violations, including: speeding tickets; driving without a license (no DL); driving while license suspended (DWLs); running a red light or stop sign (DTCD); no insurance/failure to maintain financial responsibility (FMFR); no registration or expired registration (MVR); no inspection or expired inspection (MVI); reckless driving; failure to appear (FTA); violation of promise to appear (VPTA); failure to signal; failure to maintain a single lane; and following too close. When you pay a traffic ticket fine, you are pleading guilty. When you plead guilty, you may be assessed traffic points by the State of Texas. When you accumulate traffic points, you must pay the state a mandatory yearly surcharge for three years in order to retain your license. I will work to help you keep the charges off your record, which may result in no surcharges.

- Non Traffic Ticket Violations

When you need a criminal defense lawyer to represent you, call Jack Byno, a lawyer who understands the local courts. From assault cases to city ordinance violations, over the past decade I have served clients in the local courts throughout the Dallas - Fort Worth area. When you have to appear in court, I am ready to represent you on any criminal charge, including: assault: Some assault cases stem from just a few bad words. Whatever the details of your case may be, I will make sure that you get a chance to tell your side of the story, if you have been charged with assault; minor in possession (MIP): If you are a minor who has been caught with possession of alcohol or tobacco, you will be charged with MIP. If you have been charged with MIP, the courts may suspend your license; theft; possession of drug paraphernalia; and ordinance violations: Have the courts contacted you about the violation of a city ordinance? Don't worry. City ordinance violations are some of the easiest misdemeanors to solve. If you fix the violation, the court is often willing to dismiss all charges and have your record wiped clean.

- Drivers License Suspension

If you have a suspended driver's license, you may have options available to you to help get your license back or obtain an occupational driver's license (ODL) for limited purposes. I am Jack Byno, Attorney at Law. I have been assisting individuals with suspended driver's licenses for over 15 years. I understand the system and can work efficiently to help you identify your options and reach your goals. In general, driver's license suspensions fall under two main categories: criminal suspension: This is issued by a criminal court; and civil suspension: This is initiated by the Department of Public Safety (DPS). The options available to you depend strictly upon why you initially received your suspended driver's license.

- CDL Traffic Violations

The severity of a speeding ticket for a driver with a commercial driver's license is much greater. I can help you fight to keep the ticket off your record and keep your license. When your livelihood is at stake, contact an attorney with over a decade of experience defending truckers. Speeding tickets that are more than fifteen miles per hour over the speed limit are very serious. If your offense is fourteen miles per hour over the limit or less, you face much more benign consequences. Offenses less then ten percent over the speed limit do not even carry point penalties. Whatever your initial offense was, I will work to have it reduced to the smallest charge possible.
