- Traffic Violations

I can help you resolve such traffic violations and misdemeanor offenses as: DWI or DWAI, including open container violations or underage offenses; New York Thruway tickets anywhere in the state; Northway tickets between Albany and Plattsburgh; Tickets issued to drivers from other states or Canada; Speeding tickets; High speed tickets; Repeat traffic tickets; Criminal traffic violations; Driving while suspended or revoked; Driving without insurance or proof of insurance; Driving without a license; Driver's responsibility assessment; Vehicle equipment citations, including seat belt; and Leaving the scene of an accident. My goal is to reduce and/or eliminate speed and points and to keep your license out of suspension. - DWI Defense

In any DWI prosecution, you should understand right away that it's hard to win these cases. Sometimes the facts will support a motion to suppress the evidence of drunk driving through attacking the arresting officer's reasons for pulling your car over or the way the field sobriety test was conducted. More often, however, the objective will be to keep your punishment as light as possible and to keep your license suspension as short as I can. I represent people in drunk driving cases such as the following: First offense DWI and DWAI; Aggravated DWI; Repeat or felony DWI; Underage DWI; and Commercial driver DWI.

- Local Courts

My local court practice emphasizes the defense and compromise of traffic violations cases in the Hudson Valley, especially the communities along the New York State Thruway route and the Taconic Parkway. I can represent out-of-state drivers, New York City drivers, Canadian drivers, commercial truck drivers, students and local residents in city, town or village court.

- Criminal Defense

While serious traffic violations and DWI defense make up much of my work, I also represent people charged with serious felonies. My experience with local court practice up and down the Hudson Valley means that I can spot opportunities for retaining certain felony cases in town or village courts, where your exposure to punishment will be much lighter.
