Founded in early 1998 by Mr. Lucas, the Law Firm LUCAS, S.H. & PARTNERS has rapidly expanded to become one of the top-five law firms in Indonesia, specializing in dispute resolution (as reviewed by Asia Law Magazine, May 2007). With the main areas of practice in Bankruptcy & Restructuring, Civil & Commercial Litigation, Criminal Law, Arbitration, Administrative Law, Employment & Human Rights, International Law, and Tax Law. The Firm has represented not only domestic clients but also international ones. When the financial crisis hit Asia in 1998, Law Firm LUCAS, S.H. & PARTNERS acted as the lead counsel in various banking restructuring and bankruptcy cases.

Following The Firm’s growth and its need to expand its global services, Law Firm LUCAS, S.H. & PARTNERS is forming a new department of International Practice consisting of a team of lawyers with extensive experience background in major International Law. This International Practice department focuses on international arbitration as well as various cross-border transactions as its main areas of practice. The International Practice team handles international matters of investment and its structure, company’s law, banking and finance, general regulatory and compliance as well as arbitration involving multinational jurisdiction.

Following years of dedication and commitment to provide full legal service to clients, The Firm and its team have received various recognitions from local and international legal communities. Our founder, Mr. Lucas, received “Kapital Award” as Business Lawyer of the Year by “Kapital Award” in 2002 and was named Lawyer of the Year by the Legal Review Award in 2003.
