- Domestic Violence Defense
Mr. Connelly has extensive experience in representing men in domestic violence cases. In many cases the man is charged with the offense. However, simply because you are a man does not mean you are the aggressor. Mr. Connelly will advocate for your rights and be sure that you are given fair and competent representation. Conversely, sometimes women are charged with Domestic Violence either in a criminal setting or in a civil 50B setting. After being assaulted, they are twice victimized when a savvy assailant makes sure he is the first to get to the police and magistrate to file charges. Attorney Connelly has represented women defendants in these matters, advocating that the charges were fabricated or presenting issues of self-defense or defense of third parties.
- Theft / White Collar Crimes
White collar crime refers to non-violent crimes that result in financial gain. Attorney Connelly has represented clients in financial crimes that include bank employees charged with embezzlement and retail employees charged with theft. He analyzes each case carefully, crafting a defense strategy based on the unique aspects of the situation: An accusation of embezzlement or misappropriation of client funds might stem from a simple accounting error; A person accused of fraud may have been suffering from clouded judgment as a result of a psychological problem; A client charged with stealing money or employee theft might benefit from a plea bargain that includes restitution and community service; A person charged with shoplifting or credit card fraud may benefit from a record of good behavior; and, A busy mom may be charged with Unlawful Concealment of merchandise after her child shoves an item into her shopping bag.

Attorney Connelly has defended many clients against violent criminal charges, often getting charges dismissed or reduced before trial. He understands how to present a case in the best way to the prosecutor and the judge. If you are facing violent criminal charges, you need to talk to a lawyer with the right experience to protect your rights. There is too much at stake and Attorney Connelly understands that.
