I’m Carl Spector. I am committed to the defense of criminal and DUI/DWI cases. I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo and received a bachelor’s degree in Communication. I then attended New York Law School and Nova Southeastern, where I received my Juris Doctorate. I’m licensed to practice in New York, Florida (inactive), New Jersey, and the Southern and Eastern districts of New York’s U.S. District court, as well as New Jersey’s District Court.

I represent clients from all over New York City including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx, and in Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester County and Rockland County - and throughout New York State as well.

For six years, I worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorneys office. I believe that my experience as a former prosecutor allows me to go above and beyond when defending my clients.

For the last eighteen years, I have been assisting clients charged with crimes throughout New Jersey and New York City. I’ve served as an attorney in a number of criminal and DUI/DWI cases with full control of initial investigations, trial planning, discovery, motions, legal research, and courtroom appearances or trials.

I’ve analyzed forensic evidence involved in arson investigations, developed theories of litigation based on the analyses, and have cross examined countless police officers and chemists, detectives, expert witnesses, electronic and ballistics experts, physicians and psychologists. I’ve successfully argued and litigated several pre-trial motions to suppress evidence based on probable cause to stop, frisk, and violate the defendant’s Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. I have served as the Municipal Prosecutor in a large Bergen County municipality since 2008.
