- Workers' Compensation

Work-related injuries in Louisiana can take place on land or on or adjacent to navigable waters. Depending upon where the accident takes place, the Louisiana Workers' Compensation Act or the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act may come into play. The Louisiana Workers' Compensation Act covers land-based work-related accidents. The act provides four types of income benefits for work-related accident victims: Temporary Total Disability benefits (TTD); Supplemental Earnings Benefits (SEB); Permanent Partial Disability Benefits (PPD); and, Permanent Total Disability Benefits (PTD). Earlier in his career, Mr. McNamara served the state of Louisiana as a Felony Trial Division Prosecutor for the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office. While there, he was responsible for prosecuting hundreds of criminal cases, including misdemeanor and felony drug charges, child molestation, theft, burglary, robbery, armed robbery, fraud, insurance fraud, rape and murder charges. He later served as a Federal Criminal Justice Act panel attorney, representing individuals in court-appointed federal criminal cases. Mr. McNamara draws on this past experience to represent individuals in a large variety of state and federal criminal matters.
