On 28 January 2005, this book was formally launched by the Honourable Vice-President of India, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat at his residence in New Delhi. The Indian Society of International Law President, Ram Niwas Mirdha, also attended. Subsequently, this book was also launched in the House of Lords at London in April 2005. The book was launched by The Right Hon'ble Lord Slynn of Hadley, Judge of the House of Lords.

This book, a comprehensive handbook for lawyers, is concerned with legal problems of non-resident Indian clients, especially those arising out of family laws, on their immigration to a foreign land. It deals with issues such as: marriage, divoce, custody of children, maintenance, guardianship, adoption, wills, abduction of a child in a dispute between parents, succession and sale of properties in a foreign country. It also deals with English family law in the context of immigration.
