The penalties and consequences for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs ("DUI") are far worse than they ever have been in the past, and if you are facing a DUI charge you need someone fighting to protect your rights, your freedom, and your license. Today the penalties for a first time DUI require at least 24 hours in jail, 12 months probation (while on probation you will be subject to random alcohol and drug tests), 40 hours community service, a mandatory fine ranging from $300.00 to $1,000.00, completion of a DUI program, a clinical evaluation, and a 12 month license suspension. The penalties for a 2nd or 3rd DUI within 10 years are even more extreme.

For instance, if you are convicted of trafficking 10 lbs. - 2 thousand lbs. of marijuana you could be facing a minimum sentence of 5 years imprisonment and a $100,000.00 fine.
