I am Miriam Cooper, Attorney at Law, and I have nearly 20 years of experience assisting clients with family law and real estate legal matters. Together with my associate, Victoria Kelly, we zealously advocate on your behalf. As a former teacher and commercial credit manager, I call upon my educational and financial experience in addressing domestic issues and complex financial real estate, as well as keeping clients informed about the specifics of their case. I offer personal attention to my clients, guiding them through every step of their case.
Located in Schaumburg, my family law practice has been assisting clients with domestic issues for nearly 20 years. I have extensive experience resolving divorce disputes involving child custody, division of marital property, assets and debt, ante-nuptial (prenuptial) agreements, as well as child custody, visitation, paternity, spousal maintenance (alimony), and domestic violence.
In my real estate practice, I frequently assist clients with a wide variety of residential and commercial real estate issues such as buy and sell agreements, clearing titles, closings, and commercial leasing agreements.
I am a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Northwest Suburban Bar Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, and am admitted to practice in Illinois state and U.S. District Courts, as well as the United States Supreme Court. My experience as a certified child representative in Cook County and membership on the Township High School District 214 provides me with a unique perspective for families.
