Law Firm Overview

Monfrini Crettol & Associés was founded in 1945 by Alexandre Hauchmann as an internationally-oriented general practice. Over the years, the firm has gained recognition in international trade and maritime law.

Monfrini Crettol & Partners is now composed of eight attorneys (three partners, four associates and one junior lawyer); most of whom have been trained in other prestigious law firms and have gained experience outside Switzerland and/or have pursued advanced studies in international law.
The firm has made its reputation and is determined to maintain it by giving the highest priority to its' clients interests, offering them quality and timely legal services, in strict compliance with ethical rules applicable to the profession of attorney in Geneva.

Although principally oriented towards international business law, Monfrini Crettol & Partners is determined to continue providing its clients with a range of legal services as wide as possible, and has therefore maintained a wide-ranging general practice (see list of areas of practice).
Monfrini Crettol & Partners has decided to maintain the firm at a size which allows it to provide such services on a personal basis and has resisted the tendency towards mergers common in Switzerland and abroad. This middle size (by Swiss standards) and the complementary background of its attorneys enable the firm to be cost-effective, efficient, rapid and flexible in order best to suit its clients’ needs.

While French and English are the firm’s main working languages, the experience gained abroad by its attorneys allows them to work in German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Swedish.
The firm has representative offices in Crans-Montana, Valais, an exclusive ski and golf resort. Two of its partners have wide experience in handling judicial and administrative matters in the Canton of Valais.

When necessary, Monfrini Crettol & Partners also works in coordination with other specialized professionals, such as accountants, auditors, economists, forensic accountants, etc., or in team with other law firms in Switzerland or abroad.
Monfrini Crettol & Partners can count on a wide and efficient network of corresponding attorneys in other Swiss cantons and in most countries of Europe, in the United States, in Canada, and the main
countries of Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.
