At the law firm of Albert Jacobus Myburgh, P.C., it is my privilege to help individuals and families throughout New York City achieve successful resolutions and outcomes to their legal problems. For more than 25 years, I have been earning the trust of my clients by providing family law services that are compassionate, honest and, when necessary, forceful. My name is Albie Myburgh and I have extensive experience as a negotiator, as a litigator and as an advocate in whom clients can place their confidence. I build strong working relationships with my clients in order to better serve their needs.Prior to opening my own practice in New York City, I began my career in one of South Africa's leading family law firms. At this firm, I broadened my practice to include complex commercial litigation and financial transactions. Since that time, I have worked for two prominent New York family law practices, as well as more than two years in a Hong Kong venture capital firm.
Such a diverse and financially extensive background has given me valuable skills in dealing with family law matters of all types and sizes, including high net worth divorces involving complex assets, as well as divorces for individuals with limited assets. During much of my career, I have conducted numerous trials and have been certified as a designated advocate by NITA (The National Institute for Trial Advocacy).
In more than two decades of practice, I have maintained my passion for helping individuals and families dealing with issues of divorce, custody, support, adoption and related family law matters. I am always willing to listen to my clients and give them the time to discuss their problems and to provide the comfort and support they need to navigate such traumatic and complex life events.
