Pedro Pinto, Bessa Monteiro, Reis, Branco & Associados (pbbr) is an independent law firm whose mission is to provide a personalised, efficient and multidisciplinary service that successfully focuses on its clients’ needs and interests. - Banking and Finance

This area accounts for a significant part of pbbr's business. pbbr acts for Portuguese and foreign banks and for other companies involved in a wide range of operations and transactions in Portugal and abroad. The team's vast experience and expertise have been honed through the representation of both financial institutions and borrowers in a wide range of transactions. - Corporate and M&A

With wide ranging experience in Corporate law, M&A and Competition law, pbbr advises Portuguese and international companies frequently in complex transnational operations. Main contacts are Pedro Pinto and Carla Martins Branco.

- Employment, Social Security and Employee Benefits

A key practice area, the firm handles all aspects of employment law together with any HR related issues. The team offers assistance to various Portuguese and foreign banks as well as to companies in a wide range of business sectors including the chemical and pharmaceutical, food, construction, cosmetics and consultancy industries. pbbr is a member of Ius Laboris – Global Human Resources Lawyers, which enables the firm to meets and liaise with leading law firms on various continents. This provides the team with a greater understanding of HR developments in other jurisdictions and also enables the lawyers to take an active role in transnational projects.
