Many Americans have had to undergo hip replacement surgery to correct a degenerative hip or other serious conditions. One of the most common hip replacements was the ASR XL Acetabular hip replacement system, manufactured by DePuy Orthopedics. DePuy is owned by Johnson & Johnson.
