Attorney John F. Skinner, III, is the founding Member and Manager of Skinner Law PLLC. A Massachusetts native, he earned his Bachelors degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts School of Law where he graduated second in his class. He is currently serving as Chair of the Nominating Committee in his third term as a Director of the Young Lawyers Division of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and also serving his first term on the New Hampshire Bar Associations New Lawyers Committee.
During Law School, Attorney Skinner was honored with a position on the Roundtable Symposium Law Review, and also trained his fellow students in advanced legal research techniques while employed by Thomson Reuters as the schools Westlaw Student Representative.
After Law School, Attorney Skinner was fortunate enough to land one of approximately ten positions available with the Massachusetts Superior Court in a pilot program which employed volunteers as "Graduate Interns" to do the work of Law Clerks assisting the Justices of the Superior Court in all phases of civil and criminal litigation.
While working as a Law Clerk, Attorney Skinner gained valuable insight into the process and reasoning that goes into a Trial Courts decision. During this period, he quickly gained admission to practice before the highest courts of both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Attorney Skinner is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and the Eastern District of Texas.
