Lizárraga, Robles, Tapia y Cabrera S.C. was established in 1990 as the result of the merger of three firms the Lizárraga firm (founded in 1959), the Tapia firm (1968) and the Robles firm (1984). We specialize in international businesses as they establish themselves in Mexico, and in litigation that arises in that area. Our practice concentrates in the fields of Commercial Law, Mining Law, Corporate Law, Foreign Investment Law, Administrative and Tax Litigation, In-Bond (Maquiladora) Industry, Banking Law, Real Estate Law and Public Utilities Law.Most of our clients are foreign nationals or Mexican subsidiaries of foreign entities. We do, however, have a good number of important regional clients.
The firm's area of influence extends mainly to northwestern Mexico and the southwestern United States of America. But it does serve clients from other parts of the United States of America and of Canada, and it may and does practice in other parts of Mexico, for most of the law that concerns our clients is federal in nature.
Its strong predominant international orientation and its local connections and first-hand knowledge of local practices situate our firm in an enviable position to satisfy clients in need of both complex technical abilities and familiarity with the milieu.
Over the years, the firm has earned a solid reputation for its high ethical and professional standards. The source of most of its work and our demanding national clients compel the firm to keep up to international standards in these regards. We emphasize high quality, personal attention, opportunity, and full dedication to our clients' interests.
Our firm currently consists of four partners, five associates, and two legal trainees.
