At the Campisano Law Office, we have defended individuals against criminal charges in state and federal district and circuit courts and appeal courts throughout Kentucky since 1985. We regularly represent clients accused of the following crimes:

• Assault
• Attempted murder
• Bank Robbery
• Burglary
• Criminal appeals
• Domestic disputes
• DUI
• Drug offenses
• Federal crimes
• Felonies
• Fraud
• Juvenile crimes
• Misdemeanors
• Murder
• Parole and probation violations
• Robbery
• Sex offenses
• Theft charges
• Traffic violations
• Weapons offenses
• White-collar crimes

- Drug Crimes

At the Campisano Law Office, attorney Frank Campisano has dedicated his career to protecting the rights of the accused. We provide honest, practical legal counsel and do not judge you based on your situation.

We represent clients in matters involving:

• Drug abuse
• Drug possession
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Drug trafficking
• Fraud to obtain drugs
• Other drug-related crimes

We work hard to clear your name or have the charges against you reduced or dismissed. If that is not possible, we use our considerable knowledge of the local, state and federal court systems to protect your best interests.

- DUI

Like most states, Kentucky takes matters involving DUI very seriously. Any adult age 21 or older who is caught driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher can be arrested and charged with DUI. Under Kentucky's implied consent law, all drivers are required to submit to a breath, urine or blood test at the request of a police officer. Failure to comply can result in suspension of your driver's license. You may also be held accountable for your refusal — even if you are found innocent of driving under the influence.

Kentucky DUI laws are complex. Do not risk losing your driving privileges or your freedom. Whether this is your first offense or one of many, we can help. Contact the Campisano Law Office for quality legal counsel regarding your DUI offense.

- Traffic Violations

Speeding. Following too closely. Careless driving. These are dangerous and potentially expensive offenses. The best way to protect yourself in traffic court is with a skilled defense attorney by your side. Depending on your auto insurance carrier, even one moving violation against you is enough to raise your rates. Conviction of certain violations can result in having points added to your license. To reduce your points and avoid license suspension, you may be able to attend traffic school. However, you must be referred by the court and meet specific eligibility criteria:

• Your driver's license cannot currently be suspended
• You may only attend for minor traffic violations
• You may only attend once every 12 months

If the court refers you to traffic school and you accept, you are then required by the court to attend. Failure to attend could result in your suspension of your driver's license until you have completed the course.

- Family Law

Few legal issues hit as close to home as those involving family law. At the Campisano Law Office in Louisville, we have more than 25 years of experience guiding families and individuals through matters involving:

• Divorce
• Separation issues
• Child custody and visitation
• Child support
• Guardianship matters
• Property division
• Debt division
• Paternity rights
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
• Spousal support

- Divorce

The state of Kentucky is a no-fault divorce state, meaning that couples seeking a divorce do not have to prove fault in order to obtain a divorce. Individuals filing for a Kentucky divorce are required to have resided in or been stationed in the state as a member of the armed services for a minimum of 180 days prior to filing the petition for divorce. If you are the filing spouse, it is usually best to file in the county in which you reside. A knowledgeable Louisville divorce attorney like Frank Campisano at the Campisano Law Office can help ensure your contested or uncontested divorce proceeds smoothly.

- Child Custody and Support

Whether you and your partner are divorced, separated or have never resided together, finding a custody agreement that works for both of you — and your child — can be challenging. At the Campisano Law Office, we understand how important it is for your child to maintain regular contact with both parents, so we work hard to obtain a child custody and visitation agreement that protects your time and relationship with your child.
