Jim Denman graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1973 and from California State University at Fresno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1970. Mr. Denman was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1974, District of Columbia Bar in 1985 and Colorado Bar in 1988.He was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida in 1975 and 2000 respectively (including the Trial Bar), the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits in 1975 and 1981 respectively and the Supreme Court of the United States in 1979.
He is an active member of: The Florida Bar (Member, Family Law Section, Aviation Law Committee (Chairman 1999-2000), Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, Elder Law Section and Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee); Broward County Bar Association (Chairman, Law Office Management and Technology Committee 1997-1999); Broward County Bar Association (Member, Elder Law Section); Broward County Estate Planning Council; and Lawyer- Pilots Bar Association; and NTSB Bar Association
Meritorious achievements include selection for Who's Who in American Law, 4th Edition and service as a frequent lecturer and seminar speaker on the subjects of Estate Planning and Asset Protection, Tort, Aviation Law and Insurance Coverage sponsored by The Florida Bar, Continuing Legal Education program and private organizations. He has often been requested to speak on Internet Resources for Lawyers. Jim has been a requested speaker on Estate Planning at seminars conducted by nationally known financial services companies. Jim is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer and Aviation Lawyer by The Florida Bar, Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Of more than 75,000 attorneys admitted to The Florida Bar, only approximately 1,500 are Board Certified as Civil Trial Lawyers and less than 30 are Board Certified as Aviation Lawyers.
