Tisdel Law Firm, the premier law firm in Southwest Colorado, provides quality legal services in a myriad of practice areas including real estate, water, mining, conservation easements, boundaries, litigation, corporate entity formation, contract disputes, private property rights, land use, development and landlord/tenant.

Our firm has a history dating back to the early 1970’s, when the firm’s founder, Richard P. Tisdel, assumed the existing practice of long-time Ouray attorney and judge, Philip Icke. Rich nurtured the firm and developed it into one of the most respected and well established law firms in the region serving along the way as attorney for the City of Ouray, Town of Ridgway and Ouray County. With Rich Tisdel’s untimely death in 1999, we collectively agreed to honor his memory and spirit by naming the law firm after him, hence why no one is named “Tisdel” in The Tisdel Law Firm.
