INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
This department is responsible for the protection of literary, scientific and artistic works, related rights and in general, everything in connection to the entertainment industry. Also is responsible for the study, development, surveillance of domestic and international registration of patents, utility models, industrial designs, trade secrets, trademarks, trade slogans, trade names, trade emblems, denominations of origin, domain names, health product registrations, sale licenses and plant varieties.

LITIGATION
This department attends every litigious situation related to the Firm’s specialties in the fields of industrial and intellectual property, unfair competition, breach of contracts, debt collection, administrative contentious matters, as well as the handling of commercial, labor and criminal litigation.

CONTRACTS
This department specializes in the structuring and drafting of distribution, license, franchise, technology transfer, joint venture, loan, lease and commission agreements, as well as every other related to corporate activities.

CORPORATIONS, FOREIGN INVESTMENT AND TAXES
This department is responsible for the incorporation and representation of corporations in Colombia and abroad, as well as of the registration of foreign investments and other proceedings before the Central Bank. It also handles labor, tax and accounting planning and counseling, management of money exchange operations, registrations before the Tax Office, and immigration formalities.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS
This department counsels domestic and foreign clients in the creation and development of projects concerning infrastructure, advertisement and media.

STRUCTURING OF FRANCHISES
Triana Uribe & Michelsen along with Pablo Mora Hernández have created a strategic alliance oriented to facilitate their clients the projection of their businesses within the franchisees. Here it is united the experience in the negotiation and legal structuring of a franchise contract along with the commercial, financial and practical visions necessary to understand how to project and to operate this type of businesses.
