Law Firm Overview

Wang Jing & Co. was founded in 1994 by managing partner Mr. WANG Jing. Originally focusing on shipping, admiralty and international trade, the Firm has since expanded its portfolio and now advises and represents corporate clients on a comprehensive range of issues relating to corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, foreign direct investment, intellectual property, finance, insurance, maritime, admiralty, and international trade.

The Firm has built a comprehensive network with seven offices throughout China. The Guangzhou head office and Shanghai branch office are supported by further branch offices in Tianjin, Qingdao and Xiamen, Shenzhen and a correspondent office in Haikou. Clients can rely on the Firm for knowledge of local conditions and on-site competency in each of these localities.

The Firm’s management model is largely practice-centric. Senior partners head each of the three main practice groups, namely Maritime & Admiralty, Corporate & Commercial, and Insurance & Finance, and are responsible for the junior partners, associates, and staff working on their teams. This structure allows for profound specialization in a particular field of practice, and encourages cooperation within each of the teams. Strong corporate management and a frequent need for cross-practice cooperation further guarantee that the different groups are working for the common good and offer similar levels of quality service.
