The firm is founded upon its energy practice almost parallel with the effort of the Philippine Government to privatize the generation sector of the power industry. The firm has been involved and instrumental in helping new merchant plants and distribution units apply for the approval of power sales contracts and other incidental agreements for the supply of energy. To date, the firm has successfully concluded numerous applications before the Philippine Energy Regulatory Commission and continues to prosecute more applications to address the power supply demand in the country.
Aside from its energy practice, the individual partners have been involve in litigation cases before the regular courts and quasi-judicial bodies such as the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission, the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, the Bureau of Customs, the Intellectual Property Office, the Department of Labor, etc. Each partner has litigated and continues to prosecute civil, criminal, commercial and tax cases. The partners have each represented individual and corporate clients.
