Rene M. Baptiste has 35 years of call to the Bar of St. Vincent and holds the LL.B(Hons.) Degree from the University of the West Indies (1974) and the Legal Education Certificate of the Hugh Wooding Law School (1976). She is the Senior Partner of the Firm. She was the first Manager of the St. Vincent Trust Authority from 1976-1986. She played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Authority, and was responsible for the formation, registration and supervision of international business companies trusts international banks. She wrote articles for Offshore publications. 1996-1997, she was a Consultant to the Government on the new menu of Offshore Legislation, and the establishment of the Offshore Finance Authority, working as the first Offshore Finance Inspector.

She was a member of the Caricom Working Party on the Harmonization of Companies Laws of the Caribbean. In 1986, she opened her Solo Law Firm and practiced extensively in Corporate & Company Law, Family Law, including Divorce and Adoption, Probate & Property Law, including Conveyancing, Leases, Shipping Law, Contracts & Agreements, Trademarks, Civil Litigation, including Registration & Enforcement of Judgments, Debt Collections & Debt recovery, writing a variety of Legal Opinions.
