- Corporate

The services provided by DHA in this area are very diverse. The experience and vision of our attorneys allow us to give our clients integral advise considering not only legal aspects of an operation but also, commercial and business considerations that each investor or company requires. The firm provides services of consultancy in the creation of corporations, either civil or mercantile, public or private, in transformations, acquisitions and merger, dissolution and liquidation, and in the management and update of corporate books of Mexican partnerships. DHA has a vast experience in the preparation, negotiation and analysis of all kinds contracts either civil as well as mercantile, including contracts of distribution, supply, agentship, lease, franchise and guarantee (mortgage, pledge and bonds), as well as trusts.

- Tax

The fiscal practice in DHA is very diversified in regards to the clients, matters and kinds of representation. In that sense, the firm has had a vast experience assisting the clients in the analysis of taxes and administrative aspects, as well as in the fields of consultancy, contentious administrative and judicial. The firm provides the necessary services in regards to the planning of fiscal strategies for an individual or a moral corporation in matters of Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Real Estate Tax and Assets Tax. Advice in and management of injunction trials against laws and tax resolutions.

- Foreign Trade

DHA stands out in the counseling of customs matters, as well as the approval and implementation of Maquila programs, ALTEX and PITEX. In the area of Foreign Trade we participate in the advice and legal defense of Mexicans that are dedicated to the importation and exportation and want to introduce goods or supplies to our country, regarding the compliance of customs dispositions and always considering the application of Trade Agreements with Mexico, especially the NAFTA.

- Constitutional Law

We are very proud of our constitutional litigation area. An Injunction Trial, a very technical process, is handled with dexterity by our attorneys, who have prepared in that area for many years in the best institutions of the Country. We handle a great number of affairs in this area before federal courts, especially administrative injunction, which allowed us to acquire a priceless background of knowledge. Since 1995 a new system of constitutional defense has become very important. We are talking about constitutional controversy and unconstitutional actions, institutions that did not exist in the Mexican judicial system. DHA has had the opportunity to sponsor several of these processes. Also, the partner that manages this area has had the opportunity to study in depth these trials, by giving conferences and courses on this subject.

- Labor Law

The experience of DHA in this area is very diverse. The firm assists its clients in the evaluation and preparation of labor contracts, for an individual or in a collective manner and negotiation with trade unions; as in buyouts, closings, relocation and substitution of employer. DHA provides advice during strikes and represents its clients in individual or collective trials before labor authorities and the Board of Conciliation and Arbitration, and in resolution of controversy proceedings. We have a vast experience in the defense, representation and follow-up of individual or collective proceedings before authorities in the labor area and the Labor Boards of Conciliation and Arbitration and in the management of proceedings related to reducing the risk factor before the Mexican Institution of Social Security; as well as in other employer rights and obligations.

- Migration

Consistent with the needs of its international clients, DHA has traditionally advised all kinds of foreign corporations to establish their operations in Mexico and, in particular before migration authorities so that their executives, administrators, technicians, and their families are admitted and are able to stay legally in Mexico. The firm is conscious of the importance of handling migration matters in an expedite and efficient manner, for this reason it has established a constant relation with migration authorities to obtain approval with agility. We believe that personal contact, follow-up and the constant report to our clients is fundamental in order to fulfill and exceed our clients’ expectations.

- Intellectual Property

Our practice includes the preparation and follow-up of all kinds of proceedings to obtain utility models, trade mark, commercial names, logos, publicity phrases, industrial designs and models, copyright and reserved rights; the preparation, analysis and registry of all kinds of contracts related to copyright and intellectual property, such as cession, licensing, franchising, pledge and others, as well as renewal of registry, declaratory of use or exploitation of trade marks, patents and other industrial property rights and copyrights; annual payments, voluntary cancellations and the limit of registry; advertising and all related aspects.

- Commercial and Financial

DHA has a vast experience in the commercial area. We have a great tradition in the recovery of debts through a judicial process, giving advice to important national and international financial institutions. It has allowed us to defend our clients with dexterity when they have been involved in a conflict with a credit institution. DHA has had an active participation consulting and assisting clients in the planning and implementing of financial diverse mechanisms, either as creditor or debtor. In this sense, the firm has been involved in domestic and international commercial operations covering a great variety of mechanisms of financing that go from direct financing to the financing of accounts payable and of planes and equipment, including in this last one, lease.
