If you do not request an ALR, your license will automatically be suspended. You could go to jail for up to 1 year or pay fines of up to $4,000 if convicted; Class B misdemeanors are punishable by up to 180 days in jail and can include fines of up to $2,000; and, A Class C misdemeanor involves lesser offenses, such as public intoxication or refusing to pay for traffic violations. Usually, fines do not exceed $500.00 for a Class C misdemeanor.
