Years ago, after our founding attorney Dennis Kenny’s aunt was run over on a sidewalk, she applied for Social Security disability benefits. Despite the severity of her injuries and her past work as a nun and Catholic school teacher, approval of her claim was delayed over two years — by which time she had passed away.
