At the Law Offices of Dennis Kenny, P.C., we are dedicated to helping the victims of workplace accidents get the workers' compensation benefits they deserve. For years, we have been supporting injured workers throughout New York State, helping them get the medical attention and financial compensation they depend on to move forward after injuries change their lives.Years ago, after our founding attorney Dennis Kenny’s aunt was run over on a sidewalk, she applied for Social Security disability benefits. Despite the severity of her injuries and her past work as a nun and Catholic school teacher, approval of her claim was delayed over two years — by which time she had passed away. She was never allowed to enjoy the monetary relief that she needed and deserved. It was not difficult for Mr. Kenny to conclude that the financial hardships she endured between the time of her accident and her death were unfair and unnecessary.
In 1994, Mr. Kenny established our law firm with the goal of helping injured people learn about and obtain the disability and workers’ compensation benefits that they are entitled to. In some cases, a personal injury claim could bring even further financial relief. (We work with an attorney who is "of counsel" to our firm in these matters.) Our law firm has since grown to five lawyers. Today, we are proud to help thousands of people every year receive badly needed benefits, restoring their dignity and financial independence.

- Falls from Heights
Workers injured in falling accidents often have an uphill battle toward recovery. They may face many challenges before they can again participate in activities they once enjoyed. However, New York's worker’s compensation laws are on their side, and victims of on-the-job injuries are usually able to collect the benefits they need to support their recovery. They still need the help and guidance of a well-qualified lawyer, however. In New York State, the laws are complex, and people who are unfamiliar with the system may have a difficult and frustrating experience. The attorneys at the Law Offices of Dennis Kenny, P.C., with locations throughout the Hudson Valley, have managed thousands of cases over the span of their careers. When you have been injured in a falling accident — whether it was a fall from a ladder or a trip-and-fall accident — we take the right actions to get you the best possible results.
- Slip-and-fall Accidents
When you are injured in a slip-and-fall accident, your first concern should be your health and well-being. If the injury prevents you from working as you did in the past, your next concern is your financial well-being. Without your normal wages, your family can face extraordinary economic stress in addition to concern about your physical condition. While many slip-and-fall accidents are workers’ compensation issues, the attorneys at the Law Offices of Dennis Kenny, P.C., make sure to explore all of your options under the law. We will investigate whether or not you are eligible for Social Security disability benefits. And we may also take action against a negligent third party in court — a subcontractor, vendor or product manufacturer whose negligence caused your personal injury. (We work with an attorney who is "of counsel" to our firm in these matters.)
- Repetitive Stress
Workers in many different industries experience repetitive stress injuries that may qualify them for workers’ compensation.
