New York State Workers’ Compensation - When New York State workers are injured on the job, they are covered—for medical expenses, lost wages, and other benefits—by Workers’ Compensation. When an injury claim is denied, the injured worker may require the services of a skilled attorney to guide them through the appeals process and fight for the benefits they deserve.

Social Security Disability - Social Security Disability is a safety net to assist those who are severely injured and can no longer work. Eligibility is based on the applicant’s prior work history in a taxable job prior to the disability. The application process is complex and Social Security Disability benefits are often denied to first-time applicants. The appeals process is long and complicated and those who obtain the services of a skilled attorney may have a better chance of getting the initial judgment overturned and ultimately receiving benefits.

Supplemental Security Income - Supplemental Security Income is a need-based federal program—financed with general funds from the U.S. Treasury—that makes monthly cash payments to assist people with very limited income and few resources.
