KENT MIKUS: When an accident happens, it happens not just to the person who was injured but to the whole family. We handle car accident, motorcycle accident and truck accident cases. It's important for us to be able to start our representation of an injured accident victim as soon as possible because the insurance company has their investigators and their accident reconstruction team on the scene often the same day.
Before I went to law school, I went to Carnegie Mellon and got a degree in mechanical engineering and worked as a design engineer. That technical background is extremely valuable in representing our clients whenever there is a technical issue, like accident reconstruction or evaluating the sufficiency of the design of a product.
Insurance companies and the attorneys that they hire are very familiar with the attorneys that represent accident victims. They know which attorneys settle cases quickly as opposed to our firm, for example, which develops every case as if it's going to go to trial. By doing that and by having the reputation for doing that, cases are actually less likely to go to trial and we can get a better recovery for our clients.
We're not necessarily going to get you the fastest recovery. We're not necessarily going to conclude your case the quickest because we're going to take the time to make sure that we've done everything that needs to be done to maximize your recovery.

MIRIAM REMINGTON: In 1999 my husband and my three sons were involved in a head-on collision. My husband was killed instantly and my 11-year-old son, who was a twin to my daughter, also was killed in that accident. My 14-year-old son survived thankfully and was in the hospital for four and a half weeks.
ANITRA HAMPTON: The firm handled two different cases for me. The first one was the worst case that anybody could go through, the loss of my child. He was in a car accident and he was not driving the car, but he was killed in the accident.

KENT MIKUS: For the last 30 years, we've represented accident victims and their families. Those cases fall into three primary categories: motor vehicle accidents, which includes cars, trucks and motorcycles; products liability cases, which are often workplace injury cases; and then what we would call other, which would include premise accidents and slip and falls.
WILLIAM BENNER, JR: Kent and I handle every case that comes in here. From the smallest case we have to the biggest case, we're both involved with the case. If you come to our firm, you're not handed off to an associate who's a year out of law school. I've been practicing for more than 20 years and Kent's been practicing for more than 30 years at this point and we handle every case that comes into the office together.
