There can a variety of claims in any business dispute. - Insurance Law/Litigation
Our Insurance Law/Litigation attorneys have extensive experience handling matters involving: Disability; Automobile Claims; ERISA; Key-Man Insurance; and Homeowners. Our firm will be able to assist in by analyzing the policy, applying the policy language to the specific facts of your case, ensuring that the policy language meets the specific requirements required by law, and that the insurer is licensed to do business in your state. If you believe your insurance company is wrongly delaying or denying payment on your claim, we can help.
- Appeals and Writs
Writing and arguing before the Ninth Circuit can be a challenge; Schlesinger Conrad is up to the challenge. Kira Schlesinger has worked on numerous appeals, and stood before the Ninth Circuit, taking questions from the panel as the time for argument clicks down.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution
ADR covers many different ways to resolve your case without going to court. The term includes mediation, arbitration and settlement conferences before a settlement conference judge or neutral attorney. Informal dispute resolution is generally simply negotiating with your opponent to reach a settlement that gives each party enough of what they need to walk away from litigation. Kira Schlesinger can assist in preparing your case for resolution, or act as the mediator/arbitrator for an ongoing civil litigation matter.
- Animal Law
As an attorney and a business woman involved with the world of dogs, Kira Schlesinger Conrad understands the animal/human bond. She also understands that our animals can be both a blessing and the source of pain.
Animal law includes many types of legal situations that overlap Schlesinger Conrad’s existing areas of law. Whether you need a sales agreement, a show contract or a breed contract, Schlesinger Conrad can provide you with an individualized agreement that will help prevent unforeseen situations that can lead to disputes and even law suits. But Animal law extends beyond the contractual realm. It also includes defining the limits of what municipalities and animal control agencies may do, and how far they can exert control without violating your civil rights.
- Civil Rights
Civil rights are not something you should have to fight for in this country. And yet, a growing attitude of “us vs. them” exists in many governments, and even in businesses that act under color of law. A business acts under color of law when it is contracted with the government, has such close ties to the government that it is, for all practical purposes, an arm of the government, or even when there is an establishment such as a college campus that functions like a mini-city.
- Personal Injury
A personal injury claim arises from someone else’s careless action. The lead attorney at our firm has been involved with personal injury cases for more than twenty years. We handle personal injury claims involving: Car Accidents; Premises Liability; Product Defects; Medical Malpractice; Professional Negligence; Defamation; and Wrongful Termination. If you have been injured by someone else’s wrongdoing, our firm will assist with your case from start to finish.
