- Patents

We work with clients in all phases of patent procurement, including application preparation, prosecution, and appellate proceedings in the U.S. and abroad, through filings under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), in the European Patent Office (EPO) and in individual foreign countries.

- Trademarks

A mark available in one country may be unavailable or even offensive in others. Or, faulty due diligence can fail to uncover a mark's current use by others. The result: a patent infringement suit. - Copyrights

Protecting a copyright can be the difference between profiting from your work and watching someone else profit. Profits from licensing and enforcement of copyrights have grown tremendously in recent years. In addition, this country's adoption of the Berne Convention makes your U.S. copyright enforceable in many foreign countries. We can assist you with understanding, obtaining, licensing and protecting copyrights-in short, maximizing the advantages the law affords you.

- Alternative Dispute Resolution

Sheldon Mak & Anderson offers ADR providers, litigants and their counsel with cost efficient and prompt resolution to intellectual property conflicts through our specialized IP alternative dispute resolution services (ADR). Neutrals in our ADR group combine the best of both worlds; facilitative negotiating skill and IP evaluative expertise. We provide independent neutrals for mediation, arbitration, early neutral evaluation (ENE) and other ADR proceedings, as well as represent clients in such proceedings.
