Law Firm Overview

The Ezold Law Firm, P.C. is a Philadelphia employment law firm representing employees with discrimination and harassment claims, and employers requiring legal advice for employment contracts and severance agreements. The firm was founded in 1993 by Nancy O’Mara Ezold.
Initially operating in Plymouth Meeting, the firm moved to Bala Cynwyd in 1994 as its work in the Federal Courts increased. The firm moved a few blocks in 2006 to its present location in the landmark GSB Building, now known as One Belmont Avenue, at the intersection of City Line Avenue and Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. Our location provides us with quick access to the Federal Courts in Philadelphia, as well as the courts of Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Bucks counties.

We have a unique perspective on bringing employment claims on behalf of employees. In 1989, the firm founder, Nancy O’Mara Ezold, was the first woman to bring to trial a claim against a law firm for sex discrimination in the denial of partnership (Ezold vs. Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen). Ms. Ezold gained national and international exposure as a result of the case, appearing on 20/20 and other television and radio programs, as well as in print media. As a result, the firm is intimately aware of the benefits, costs and risks of bringing an employment claim. We are able to advise and represent our employment clients with respect to practical actions that can be taken to resolve their claims without bringing a lawsuit, and provide them with strong representation in court if a lawsuit is warranted.

The Ezold Law Firm, P.C. has had many of our employment clients return to us to assist them in the start-up of their own businesses, and with the legal issues that arise during the operation of their business. We understand that small and start-up businesses need flexible fee arrangements, a wide range of legal services and attorneys that know their business and their industry. Through our Outside Counsel Program, we have been able to provide a high level of service to our small and start-up business clients.

The Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law requires employers to pay you what you are owed, plus a 25 percent penalty and your attorney fees if you succeed.
