Switzerland Bar Associations

The Geneva Bar Association conducts or participates in many fields of work such as the establishment of new statutes, the safeguarding of human rights, the defense and respect of fundamental liberties, the exercise of the rights of individuals in general as well as the professional training of its members. Through the events it organizes, the Geneva Bar Association contributes to promote the fraternity among its members and the quality of the relationship with the Judicial Magistrates.

The State Bar of the Canton of Vaud (in French: l'Ordre des avocats vaudois - OAV) was formed 100 years ago, on 10th December 1898. Its main purposes are to ensure the Bar's independence, the member's compliance with the professional code of ethics and the administration of justice.

The Zurich Bar Association provides services to the public and engages in maintaining the reputation and representing the interests of the attorneys, the promotion of continuing education, and collegial association of its members as well as its members' compliance with professional rules of conduct.
