Criminal Law

Criminal lawyers practice law as either defense attorneys or prosecutors. Prosecutors normally try criminal cases in a court of law for the state or federal government. These are district attorneys (DA’s), City Attorneys, County Prosecutors, State Prosecutors, assistant DA’s, deputy DA’s, etc ., and are generally subject to additional rules. Individuals charged with a crime would seek the counsel of a criminal defense attorney.
