Paralegal / Legal Assistant The candidate will assist attorneys in our general liability practice. Responsibilities include: drafting correspondence and pleadings; communication and contact with clients, witnesses, healthcare providers, experts, court staff, vendors, and opposing counsel; scheduling attorneys in meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials; drafting and compiling discovery requests and responses; gathering medical records, police records, and other documentary and visual evidence; maintaining case statuses; compiling general medical histories and bill summaries; filing; basic legal research; and preparing hearing, deposition, and trial exhibits.
The candidate should have 5+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant or similar cross-over experience, such as law school. Must demonstrate compassion to clients; act with integrity in all aspects of the job; be an independent self-starter committed to team success; and pay careful attention to detail. Spanish speaking skills a plus.
