RESPONSIBILITIES: The Legal and Compliance Department is seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal to provide specialized support in the development and maintenance of the global intellectual property portfolio of IEEE. Accountable for all matters relating to the coordination and maintenance of the IEEE trademark portfolio including reviews of potential trademark registrations, preparation of applications, maintenance of docket listings for all trademarks and trademark applications, and the management of renewals as appropriate for both our domestic and international portfolios. More than 5 years of experience as an Intellectual Property Paralegal, ideally in a corporate setting. Extensive experience with all aspects of the (USPTO) trademarks and equivalent foreign registrations. Experience with online searching tools, trademark docketing systems and matter management systems. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience will be considered.
