The Department of Law focuses on cultivating the legal thinking ability to actively meet the present complicated and various legal problems through theoretical training and practical application of laws. Additionally,its educational purpose is to produce leading personnel in a law-governed country by forming thinking and acting humanity in accordance with normative laws. Graduates may work at professional fields including court, public prosecutors office, and police and at governmental institutes, governmental investment institutes, financial institutes, and major enterprises.

There are three departments in the College of Law: the Departments of Law, Police Administration, and Fire Service Administration. The College of Law, was originally established as the Department of Law Department of Law in the College of Social Sciences, finally became an independent college in March 1989. At the beginning of departure, the college consisted of two departments : Public Law and Private Law. However it has been reorganized as the School of Law since 1996. The college aims at teaching legal mind and legal philosophy to the students who will contribute to developing legalism in the society.

The Department of Law provides students with the necessary education to be active contributors to social justice. By harmonizing legal theory with legal practice, and by preparing students for a variety of National Exams, graduates can look forward to a bright future in any one of a variety of fields related to legal and governmental services. The ultimate goal of the Department is to ensure that all students pass at least one of the elite national qualification exams prior to graduation.

Established in 1983, the Graduate School has been instrumental in the furthering education of over fifteen hundred students with over 320 Ph.D. and 36 Honorary degrees awarded for the period from 1983 to 2001. It is SCH’s duty to maintain the highest standards of education and the Graduate School exemplifies this by instructing its students with techniques that elevates their personal and academic ability.

C.U.D. plans to establish education centers abroad to fulfill its goals on globalization. Throughout the long history of C.U.D. , the university has provided students with a dedicated, energetic faculty and quality programs. The educational goal of the College of Law and Police Science is to foster professionals in the field of law and police science, who will play a pivotal role in maintaining law and order of the society. In order to achieve this goal, its curriculum has been designed to include both liberal arts education, which places emphasis on essential elements of creative leadership, as well as advanced theoretical studies and research activities in law and police science.

The educational aims of the College include cultivating a sense of duty and justice, nurturing a critical and creative legal mind, and developing a sense of community service. Based on a distinguished faculty, students are prepared to pursue future careers as lawyers, researchers, managers, and decision-makers in the public and private sectors.

The college aims at producing legal specialists such as a judge and a prosecutor who can contribute to the realization of peace and justice through legal knowledge. To meet the goal, the college provides students with the opportunity to develop extensive legal knowledge and substantive experience in key areas of legal specialization. Students have the opportunity to build up their ability of legal reasoning, verbal and writing skills, and specific legal knowledge.

The Department of Law aims at training higher legal experts with wide range of legal knowledge and systematic thinking faculty. Graduates of the Department will pursue their careers not only as traditional lawyers, but also as other specialists like Judicial Agents, Certified Public Labor Attorneys. In addition, public sectors like police staffs or higher ranking public officials and private sectors like research centers, financial companies and mass media are also open to the graduates.

The Department of Law, established in 1984, aims to provide students with legal theories and practices which will form an important basis of their legal careers. The Department offers over 40 courses, including 17 basic and required courses such as Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Administrative Law, International Law, Law of Property, and Legal Philosophy. The curriculum covers the most common subjects central to passing the national "bar" exam and to train students to be competent judges, prosecutors, lawyers and the like, who will deal with practical problems of the law for national development. The Department has held various seminars, case studies in specific fields, and especially "mock-trials" performed by students themselves every year. The Department aims at training young and able leaders of society who have legal minds in order that they may contribute to the development of Korean legal culture.

The College of Law was originally established as the College of Law and Economics on March 1, 1978 and was reorganized on September 22.1979. The major purpose of the college is to help students acquire a sophisticated knowledge and practice of law and administration in preparation for a profession or for advanced study, and at the same time, to cultivate their personalities for the development of our nation. The distinguished faculty also exerts every effort to further research activities in the broader field of law and administration through various curricular programs.

This department intends to educate competent legal experts and sensible members of the society by teaching its students basic theories of law and the main content of the existing positive laws of Korea. For this purpose, it focuses on the basic training in how to address specific legal problems by helping them acquire necessary legal knowledge and practicing the same through mock trials, etc.

The College of Law was established in 1954 when the Department of Law established its own faculty and became an independent school apart from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The study of law and administration has become an important gateway to the legal profession and higher government positions. It also provides excellent basic training for many other careers in our society, especially in politics, academia, business, finance and education.

The law was designed to help people who are unfairly treated because of their ignorance of law, not punish people who commit crimes. The Department provides students with a better understanding of the theory and practice of law, geared toward preparing them for the bench and the bar, the press, civil service, the professorate, political careers. etc. In addition to the regular curriculum, intensive departmental support is offered to candidates for judical government positions.

The Graduate School of Inje University rears high class professionals who will work as academic researchers and professors, and focuses on activating research function that will pioneer new areas. In the master courses, we help students understand basic and new theories and be able to build ability that can carry out research independently. In the doctoral courses, we encourage students to achieve original research results and let them guide undergraduates and students in master's programs.

Established on November 27, 1984, the Graduate School includes 32 master's and 23 doctoral degree programs with an enrollment of 145 and 64 students, respectively. The graduate studies, academically linked to the undergraduate education, provide students opportunities for advanced scholarship and learning. The Graduate School seeks to make substantial contributions to cultivating professional experts in their fields.

The education purpose of the Faculty of Law is to professionalize the law education to respond to the demands of our time, internationalization and informatization, and to simultaneously promote the localization of the curriculum to fit CNU’s reputation as a stronghold national university in line with the promotion of Jeju Free International City. Our school of law was newly established in Mar. 2005. Its mission is to prepare students for responsible and productive lives in the legal profession. Ewha College of Law provides students with most courses required for bar examination, civil servant examinations as mandatory major courses. Further, law students may learn various other courses as elective courses. The Department of Law was founded in 1981 as the second such faculty among women's universities in Korea. It was designated a College in 2005 and accommodates 200 extraordinarily talented students every year. The Department provides legal education in various fields of legal theory in preparation for the National Bar Exam. It also offers various legal courses of study for students enrolled in the four-year L.L.B. program. SM Department of Law alumni regularly contribute their leadership experience to legal circles, public service, academia and the business sector.
