LibraryLaw.com was started by Mary Minow in 1997. It focuses on legal issues of interest to libraries, such as copyright, privacy and the First Amendment. Minow is a library law consultant and is the coauthor of The Library's Legal Answer Book, with Tomas Lipinski, published by the American Library Association, 2003. Minow worked in public libraries for ten years before going to law school, and has served as a library trustee. She is currently the Policy Analyst for the California Association of Library Trustees and Commissioners. She received an A.M.L.S. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a J.D. from Stanford University.
