Mr. Leonard Koltonow - Partner, Farmington Hills, MichiganAttorney’s Profile
Leonard M. Koltonow has devoted his entire career to helping injured accident victims in Michigan. He is a firm partner and has been an auto accident lawyer with Michigan Auto Law for more than 30 years. During that time, Leonard was named one of the top trial attorneys in the state, when the Michigan Association for Justice (formerly the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association) chose his closing arguments as one of the best.Leonard has won millions of dollars in awards and settlements for his clients. For example, he got a $4.25 million jury verdict in Oakland County Circuit Court for an auto collision in Milford Township, where the defendants had offered only $100,000 prior to trial. Leonard has also won several jury verdicts of more than $1 million in Wayne County Circuit Court.
He recently received an arbitration award of $2 million on a case that was evaluated by a court panel at $900,000. His client had suffered a head injury and depression from a car accident that occurred in Romulus. In 2008, Leonard garnered a $1.5 million settlement for a client who was rear-ended at a high speed by a drunk driver in Wayne County.
Leonard is named a Michigan Super Lawyer in Super Lawyers magazine and has been an AV-Rated lawyer by Martindale Hubbell for 25 years. He is also named as one of Michigan's top lawyers by DBusiness magazine.
Due to his impeccable practice, Leonard has achieved an outstanding reputation in the legal community. In fact, he is so well-respected by auto insurance companies and defense lawyers, that they often choose to proceed directly to binding arbitration rather than facing him in a courtroom before a jury. As a result, Leonard consistently secures large settlements for his clients prior to trial.
